New featured artist! Oil painter Francisco Pham was born to Vietnamese immigrants in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania but was raised and is currently living in Baltimore, Maryland. Pham recently earned a BFA in Painting at Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA). Pham's rich, narrative works on canvas and mounted paper are based on the novel "Journey to the West" published in the 16th century during the Ming dynasty and attributed to Wu Cheng'en. It is regarded as one of the great Chinese novels, and has been described as arguably the most popular literary work in East Asia.
